Application Requirements

Basic Requirements

1. The applicant must be a non-Chinese citizen and hold a valid foreign passport.

2. The applicant must be in good health (meeting the physical examination requirements set by the state and the university). Please download the attachment for detailed information.

3. The applicant should maintain a friendly attitude towards China and have no criminal record; applicants must abide by Chinese laws, regulations, and university discipline.

Educational and Age Requirements

• Applicants for the Master's program must have at least a Chinese Bachelor's degree or an equivalent degree, and the age must not exceed 35 years old (born after April 30, 1990).

• Applicants for the PhD program must have at least a Chinese Master's degree or an equivalent degree, and the age must not exceed 40 years old (born after April 30, 1985).

Language Requirements

• Applicants for Chinese-taught programs must have a minimum of HSK-5 level.

• International students from non-English-speaking countries applying for English-taught programs must meet the IELTS score of 6.5 or TOEFL score of 85 or provide equivalent language proficiency evidence.

Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University Scholarships for International Students

• Fujian Agriculture and Forestry University covers tuition fees, accommodation fees, insurance fees, and provides living allowances.

Living Allowance Standards

• Master's students: RMB 2000/month

• PhD students: RMB 2500/month

Application Process

1. Please register for an account and fill in the required information, uploading necessary documents: Application Link

2. Preliminary Review: The International College will review the applicant's passport, language proficiency certificates, highest degree certificates, recommendation letters, study plan, and other materials to determine the list of applicants.

3. Academic Assessment: The training colleges will assess the applicants through face-to-face communication, online video, or phone interviews, and determine the shortlisted candidates.

4. Admission and Subsequent Matters: The International College will notify the students to pay the registration fee and issue the admission letter.

Application Materials

1. A scanned copy of the passport’s personal information page (passport must be valid at least until February 1, 2026).

2. Highest degree certificates. Non-Chinese or non-English documents should be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English. If the applicant is a recent graduate, they must submit a certificate of expected graduation issued by the school.

3. Transcripts of the highest degree, stamped by the issuing institution. Non-Chinese or non-English documents should be accompanied by notarized translations in Chinese or English.

4. Personal statement (at least 800 words), and PhD applicants should submit a brief research experience.

5. Chinese/English language proficiency exam certificate or equivalent language proficiency evidence.

6. Resume.

7. Two recommendation letters from associate professors or professors in the relevant field, written in Chinese or English, including the recommender’s contact information. The letters should be issued after December 1, 2024.

8. Applicants under 18 years of age must provide legal guardian documents for their stay in China.

9. Financial guarantee documents from a bank or an economic sponsor (Not required for scholarship students).

10. A scanned/photocopy of the “Physical Examination Record for Foreigners”. The results should be signed and stamped by the hospital and valid for six months, after January 2025.

11. No criminal record certificate.

12. A school performance certificate from the current institution (only for students in China).

13. A statement of attitude towards China (may follow the provided outline).

14. A white-background personal ID photo (electronic version).
