Financial Support and Content
The Henan Provincial Government Scholarship can be used to support the expenses during the study period. If the scholarship is not sufficient to cover the needs of outstanding international students in Henan, the universities may provide additional support as needed.
- PhD students: 40,000 CNY per year, generally not exceeding 4 years
- Master’s students: 30,000 CNY per year, generally not exceeding 3 years
- Bachelor's students: 15,000 CNY per year, generally not exceeding 4 years (for medical majors, not exceeding 6 years)
- Vocational college students: 10,000 CNY per year, generally not exceeding 3 years
- Chinese language program students: 5,000 CNY per semester or 10,000 CNY per year, generally not exceeding 1 year
Application Process
- Visit the Zhengzhou University website in Chinese and English to confirm the majors and language of instruction;
- Visit the Zhengzhou University website in Chinese and English to confirm the tuition fees and charges;
- Prepare the required documents for the Henan Provincial Government Scholarship according to the list provided, and submit two copies of each document;
- After confirming that the scholarship application materials are correct, send them to the international student admissions office of Zhengzhou University;
- Log in to the online application platform for international students at Zhengzhou University http://zzu.17gz.org to complete the online application.
Application Materials
Applicants must truthfully complete and submit the following materials:
- Henan Provincial Government Scholarship Application Form for international students, filled in Chinese or English (see Appendix 2);
- Pre-admission Notice.
Note: The application materials must be submitted in two copies; regardless of whether the application is successful, the materials will not be returned.
Admission Procedure
- Receiving applications: Applicants should submit a written application for the scholarship according to the eligibility criteria. The university will preliminarily review the application materials based on the university's admission standards and scholarship eligibility conditions. If the applicant meets the scholarship eligibility requirements and the application materials are complete, the university will issue a pre-admission notice. If the applicant does not meet the eligibility requirements or the materials are incomplete, the application will be deemed invalid and not accepted by the university.
- Organizing the evaluation: The Provincial Department of Education will organize experts to conduct a comprehensive review of the pre-admission situations reported by the universities, and decide whether the applicant qualifies for the scholarship.
- Admission and notification: The Provincial Department of Education will send the approved admission list and relevant approval procedures to the universities before May 31 each year. The universities should send the admission notices and visa application materials to the applicants by July 10 each year and assist the applicants in completing the enrollment procedures.
