Program Introduction

The Chemical Metrology and Technology program is an interdisciplinary field that integrates chemistry, physics, precision instrument manufacturing, computer science, software, and other disciplines. The curriculum is based on chemistry and physics, while also incorporating content related to chemical metrology, precision instrument manufacturing, computer science, software, signal and control, and artificial intelligence.

During the training process, more emphasis is placed on students’ practical skills, critical thinking, and creative thinking abilities. The program introduces Project-Based Learning, large-scale lectures and small group discussions, integrated science and education experimental projects, course design, and company internships. 

The goal of the program is to prepare high-end talents who can lead the future of analytical measurement and high-end instrument manufacturing, with the potential to make significant contributions globally.

Graduation Requirements

  • Master the basic theories and knowledge in mathematics, physics, and related fields.

  • Have a solid foundation in inorganic chemistry, analytical chemistry (including instrumental analysis), organic chemistry, physical chemistry (including structural chemistry), chemical engineering, and chemical engineering drawing.

  • Understand the general principles and knowledge of related disciplines.

  • Be aware of national policies and regulations on science and technology, chemical-related products, intellectual property, etc.

  • Be familiar with the theoretical frontiers, application prospects, and recent developments in chemistry and the status of related industries.

  • Master the methods of literature search, data retrieval, and using modern information technology to acquire relevant information in Chinese and foreign languages. Have certain abilities in experimental design, creating experimental conditions, and summarizing.
