The Chinese Philology Research Institute has specialized research groups in areas such as oracle bone inscriptions, bronze inscriptions, bamboo and silk manuscripts, Dunhuang studies, and epigraphy. Students can consult with specialized faculty in different directions. Every Friday morning is "Institute Return Day" – all available faculty work at the institute for convenient student consultations. Additionally, every Friday noon features "Lunch with Professors" (students purchase their own meals; food is not provided) in the institute's cafeteria or meeting room, open to all students.
The program is flexible, with a full-time academic master's program lasting from 2 to 5 years.
