Major Introduction
The Comics major is the first formal university major in comics in China, approved by the Ministry of Education in 2017. Prior to that, from 2005–2015, it was a specialization track within the Animation major. Since 2018, the major has begun independent enrollment with an annual intake of 20 students.
This major is highly artistic, combining theory and practice, and focuses on training talents with creative, practical, and artistic aesthetic abilities in the field of comics.
