Introduction

This program originated from the Electrical Technology major established in 1986 and was adjusted in 2013 to become the Electrical Engineering and Intelligent Control program. Relying on the doctoral and master's degree authorization platforms in Electrical Engineering and Control Science and Engineering, this program aims to train application-oriented, innovative engineering technology talents capable of working in areas such as power distribution, motion control, automation instruments, and information processing. The rapid development of industrial automation and unmanned technology has created a high demand for professionals. The program focuses on cultivating talents with practical abilities and innovative thinking in the field of electrical engineering and intelligent control.

Training Objectives

This program trains well-rounded, innovative talents with a strong sense of social responsibility and the ability to contribute to the construction of socialism. Graduates should possess solid mathematical, physical, and electrical control knowledge, as well as the ability to track technological frontiers in the international context. They should also have cross-disciplinary communication skills and be able to solve complex engineering problems in fields such as power distribution systems, industrial automation control systems, and intelligent detection.

Five years after graduation, students should be able to:

  1. Handle the operation, maintenance, and fault handling of power distribution systems.
  2. Participate in the design, research, development, and maintenance of industrial automation control systems.
  3. Address complex issues in electrical information intelligent detection and automated operation.
  4. Continuously learn and keep up with technological developments in the industry.
  5. Adapt to changes in technology and management, excel in innovation, engineering management, and pursue entrepreneurial ventures.

Graduation Requirements

Graduates should meet the following knowledge, ability, and quality requirements:

  1. Engineering Knowledge: Be able to apply higher mathematics, physics, and electrical engineering knowledge to solve complex electrical and control engineering problems in fields such as power distribution system operation, industrial automation control system design, and intelligent detection.
  2. Problem Analysis: Be able to identify, describe, and analyze complex engineering problems in the electrical and control systems using professional literature, mathematical and physical principles, and engineering science methods.
  3. Design/Development Solutions: Be able to propose solutions to complex electrical and control engineering problems, considering factors like social, health, safety, legal, cultural, and environmental issues.
  4. Research Ability: Be able to model, analyze, and design engineering solutions, perform experiments, and evaluate the validity of data.
  5. Use of Modern Tools: Be able to select and use modern engineering tools, including simulation software and advanced testing equipment, to solve complex engineering problems.
  6. Engineering and Society: Understand and analyze the impact of engineering solutions on society, health, safety, law, and culture, while taking on appropriate responsibility.
  7. Environment and Sustainable Development: Evaluate the environmental and societal impact of electrical engineering projects and their products on sustainable development.
  8. Professional Ethics: Understand and adhere to professional ethics and standards as an electrical engineer, fulfilling social responsibilities in practice.
  9. Personal and Teamwork: Be able to work effectively in multi-disciplinary teams, take leadership roles in projects, and have strong teamwork and collaboration skills.
