Introduction to the Major
The Flight Technology major is an applied discipline based on subjects such as aerospace engineering, flight mechanics, aviation meteorology, and navigation science. It primarily trains specialists who master theoretical knowledge and practical skills in aircraft piloting, aviation theory, and aviation regulations, capable of working in civil aviation transportation, general aviation, and aviation manufacturing industries in roles such as aircraft piloting, aviation control, and aviation safety.
Training Objectives
The school's training objectives are positioned to use advanced flight theories and technical standards from both domestic and international sources, based on the personnel needs of civil aviation transportation departments. The "2+2" talent training concept (i.e., 2 years of theoretical study combined with 2 years of practical training) integrates aviation theory, flight practice, and license examination to cultivate practical talents with patriotic dedication and solid theoretical foundation, possessing the application and management capabilities of civil aviation flight technology.
Training Objective 1
Possess professional beliefs and responsibilities in flight. Establish a sense of national pride and resilient will in the modernization of civil aviation. Based on the background knowledge of flight technology, cultivate humanistic and social science literacy, social responsibility; understand and adhere to professional ethics and norms in flight practice, and fulfill responsibilities.
Training Objective 2
- Possess professional knowledge of flight technology. Able to identify, express, and analyze problems encountered during flight learning using basic knowledge of mathematics, aerospace engineering mechanics, and aerodynamics, as well as modern tools, seeking solutions and methods to solve problems, ultimately obtaining effective conclusions.
- Able to apply professional knowledge of flight principles, aircraft systems, aviation power devices, flight performance and planning, and load balance to design and develop solutions to flight problems, and demonstrate innovation in the design process.
Training Objective 3
- Possess professional abilities in flight technology. Able to conduct research on complex technical problems in the field of flight technology based on scientific principles and scientific methods, including the design of flight simulations, analysis and interpretation of data, and obtaining reasonable and effective conclusions through information synthesis.
- Familiar with work skills and methods in related fields of civil aviation, possess certain emergency handling capabilities, able to propose correct execution plans during flight training tasks, coordinate and command relevant personnel to complete tasks according to division of labor, and ensure safe flight. In dangerous situations, able to make correct decisions quickly according to the plan.

- Possess lifelong learning and flight development awareness. Possess self-learning and lifelong learning awareness, master self-learning methods and techniques, able to continuously improve professional technical capabilities through learning, actively adapt to changes in the domestic and international flight industry environment, quickly master advanced flight technology, new aircraft, and new routes.

Possess good humanistic literacy, basic disciplinary knowledge, and professional knowledge.
1.1 Humanistic Literacy
Master philosophy, ideological and moral education, political science, law, sociology, psychology, and other knowledge, understand the development status and trends of related knowledge. Master certain interpersonal communication, management, administrative leadership knowledge to meet the needs of management and communication in flight operations, understand the development status and trends of related knowledge.
1.2 Basic Disciplinary Knowledge
Master the scientific foundation required for the flight technology major, including mathematics, aerospace engineering mechanics, aerodynamics, automatic control principles, computer technology, and related disciplines, understand the development status and trends of related knowledge.
1.3 Professional Knowledge
Master basic theoretical knowledge of the flight technology major, including flight principles, aircraft systems, aviation power devices, flight performance and planning, load balance, aviation electronics, civil aircraft electrical instruments and communication systems, flight English, understand the development status and trends of related disciplines. Master professional technical theories with flight technology characteristics, including human factors in flight, aircraft flight control systems, pilot radio communication, instrument flight procedures, air traffic control basics, understand the development status and trends of flight technology.

2.1 Ability to Solve Complex Practical Aircraft Operation Problems
For complex problems encountered during work, able to seek suitable solutions by searching and analyzing Chinese and foreign literature; able to use logical thinking methods to analyze the root causes of problems and find solutions;
Able to use mathematical knowledge and system science methods to solve flight-related problems frequently encountered in this field; able to analyze and summarize data based on previous flight experiences, extract useful information for work, optimize operating procedures and methods.
2.2 Ability to Use Modern Tools and Acquire Knowledge
Master the usage methods of commonly used modern tools in this field such as flight simulators and computers. Able to use onboard equipment to complete aircraft status assessment, control, comprehensive navigation, emergency handling, and coordination between air and flight control.
For complex engineering problems in this field, able to evaluate the advantages and disadvantages of various modern tools and reasonably choose and use corresponding modern tools. Have forward-looking learning of modern navigation, weather forecasting tools and methods, and master usage methods in work.
2.3 Teamwork and Interpersonal Communication Skills
Continuously enhance personal abilities, improve physical and psychological qualities, actively participate in team cooperation, able to get along well with team members, create a good team working atmosphere. Able to cooperate with team members with different professional backgrounds to solve problems encountered during flight. Able to take on the role of leader in the team, coordinate and manage the team, complete tasks together.
Possess flight English communication skills required by the International Civil Aviation Organization, meet the language requirements of domestic and international flight routes. Have good written and oral expression skills, possess a certain international perspective, able to create a good communication atmosphere in at least Chinese and English language backgrounds, and conduct effective communication and exchange.

Able to seek the best aircraft operation methods under physical, psychological, and aircraft hardware and software limitations. In the process of solving flight problems, able to demonstrate innovation on the basis of meeting the needs of different aircraft systems. Able to actively participate in flight practice and ensure flight safety, propose scientific solutions to flight problems, and dare to take social responsibility.

Possess certain cultural literacy and artistic cultivation. Understand certain humanistic science knowledge, inherit and promote national cultural traditions, and have certain appreciation ability.
