FOOD QUALITY AND SAFETY

Are you passionate about science and technology? Do you want to contribute to improving the quality and safety of food? Let's explore the field of Food Quality and Safety - a discipline full of potential and opportunities for growth.

Program Introduction

The Food Quality and Safety major is a newly emerging undergraduate program based on life sciences and food sciences. It studies the relationship between food nutrition, safety, and health, ensuring food nutrition and managing food safety and hygiene quality.

This discipline is an important part of food science and preventive medicine, serving as a crucial bridge between the two. By managing and controlling food production and processing, it ensures the nutritional quality and hygiene of food, promoting human health.

Ensuring food nutrition and safety mainly relies on comprehensive and systematic quality management of food production, expanding from past supervision to include various fields such as food production, food nutrition, food safety, food management, and food quality control. It plays an increasingly important role in various fields of life sciences and food sciences.

Training Objectives

This major adapts to the needs of national economic and technological development, cultivating builders and reliable successors of socialist modernization with all-round development in morality, intelligence, physique, aesthetics, and labor. Graduates will be able to engage in risk assessment, detection, control, supervision, scientific research, and teaching related to food quality and safety in food production, processing, and circulation.

They will be application-oriented professionals proficient in quality inspection, safety management, and quality control. Graduates with more than five years of experience are expected to:

  1. Effectively address food safety issues and ensure food quality and safety supervision.
