Training Objectives

• Master the basic theory of Marxism, adhere to the Four Basic Principles, love the country, obey the law, have the spirit of working hard for the modernization of socialist construction, be good at communication and collaboration with others, and have good teamwork qualities.
• Master the solid foundation in literature and linguistics theory, have innovative thinking ability, a strong proficiency in the German language, and the ability to conduct scientific research, teaching, or specialized technical work. Students should be proficient in at least one second foreign language.
• Have good humanistic qualities and physical health.
• Provide a source of students for the domestic and international German language and literature doctoral programs.

Practical Training

Practical activities include teaching practice, research practice, social practice, and social surveys. These activities are an essential part of the graduate training process, and each discipline can determine the format of these activities according to its characteristics. 

Upon completion of the practical activities, the supervisor will provide an evaluation, and students can earn corresponding credits after passing the evaluation.

The training method combines individual supervision with collective training by the advisor group. Important aspects of graduate education, such as comprehensive assessments, thesis proposal reports, and thesis writing checks, should be discussed collectively by the advisor group.
