Program Introduction

The International Business major aims to cultivate high-quality, interdisciplinary talents with an international perspective, familiar with international trade theories and practices, capable of engaging in international business activities in multinational companies, foreign trade enterprises, government agencies, and other sectors. 

This major covers multiple fields including international trade, international finance, international marketing, and international logistics, training students with skills in international business negotiation, cross-cultural communication, and risk management.

Training Objectives

This program aims to train talents with the following characteristics: interdisciplinary, applied, and international. The program focuses on developing students with a deep love for their country, an international perspective, innovation ability, and good psychological qualities.

Students will gain solid knowledge in management and economics, and master systematic analytical methods in these areas. The program equips students with the skills necessary for international business operations and business practices, and they will become familiar with the international business environment, rules, and practices.

Students will also develop strong foreign language proficiency and international communication skills, enabling them to take on management roles in multinational companies, foreign-related economic and trade departments, government departments, and research institutions.

Students in this major primarily study the principles of economics, the basic theories and knowledge of international trade, and receive basic training in international trade operations, acquiring the practical ability to solve specific problems in international trade business.

Students must be proficient in the theoretical and methodological foundations of mathematics, statistics, and economics.

  • Students must systematically master the theoretical knowledge and methods of management, organizational behavior, accounting, financial management, marketing, and entrepreneurship related to international business. They will also stay informed of the latest theories and trends in the field.

  • Students must select elective courses from areas such as philosophy, sociology, psychology, law, science and technology, language and literature, health arts, career development, and other general knowledge areas.
