Radio and Television Studies

Major Introduction

This major aims to cultivate highly specialized professionals with good political qualities, solid theoretical knowledge and skills in journalism, and a broad cultural foundation. Students will master modern communication technologies, be familiar with the national media and publicity policies and regulations, and be prepared to work as reporters, editors, and managers in broadcasting and television news, publishing, and publicity departments. 

Graduates are also qualified for roles in enterprises, including positions in secretarial work, planning, media publicity, and image production.

Training Objectives

This program aims to cultivate senior professionals with basic theories and knowledge in radio and television news, a broad cultural knowledge base, and familiarity with the history and current state of domestic and international broadcasting and television journalism. 

Graduates will possess the ability to analyze and solve practical problems in radio and television journalism, and be skilled in news interviews, writing, photography, cinematography, editing, and broadcasting. They will be well-prepared to meet the demands of the news industry and new media development.

1. Political and Moral Qualities
   
   

• Support the leadership of the Communist Party of China, love the socialist motherland, and grasp the basic principles of Marxism, Mao Zedong Thought, and Deng Xiaoping Theory.

2. Professional Competence
   
   

• Master the basic theories and knowledge of radio and television journalism, be familiar with the history and current state of broadcasting and television journalism, and have strong capabilities in news reporting, writing, and editing.

• Use Marxist perspectives, viewpoints, and methods to analyze and solve practical problems in the radio and television journalism field.

• Master basic computer operations, be capable of reading professional foreign language materials, and have extensive knowledge of social sciences, humanities, natural sciences, and economic management.
