Major Introduction
Railway Engineering trains students with in-depth knowledge and skills in the construction, maintenance, and management of railway, bridge, and track projects. Students will be equipped with a solid theoretical foundation, practical abilities, and innovative thinking, along with a craftsman spirit and international perspective. This program aims to develop advanced technical engineers to meet the needs of the modern transportation and construction industries.
Training Objectives
The program aims to train students with firm ideals and beliefs, developing them comprehensively in morality, intelligence, physical fitness, aesthetics, and labor. Students will have a certain level of scientific and cultural knowledge, good humanistic qualities, professional ethics, and innovative consciousness, along with a meticulous craftsman spirit, strong employability, and sustainable development capabilities. Students will master the knowledge and technical skills of the major, targeting careers as railway engineering technicians, railway construction engineering technicians, and railway bridge and track workers. They will be able to engage in the construction, maintenance, and management of railway subgrades, bridges, tunnels, and tracks.

- Master basic knowledge of engineering drawing, engineering surveying, engineering mechanics, engineering materials, engineering geology, soil science and soil mechanics, and foundation engineering.
- Master professional theoretical knowledge of railway engineering construction and maintenance.
- Understand safety and quality knowledge related to the major.
- Master knowledge of new technologies, processes, materials, and equipment in the major.
- Be familiar with regulations and technical management knowledge related to construction.
- Understand basic knowledge of electrical, power supply, signaling, and transportation equipment.
- Understand the latest railway industry standards, national standards, and international standards related to the major.

- Have the ability to prepare budgets for small railway engineering projects.
