Major Introduction
The Safety Engineering major focuses on the characteristics of complex systems, transportation equipment, and large structural products. Based on the concept of system safety engineering, it aims to ensure the safety of equipment and reduce accident risks.
The major emphasizes training high-level, interdisciplinary professionals who master the theories of safety characteristics formation during equipment development and the technical methods of safety engineering during usage. The curriculum includes core courses such as Safety Principles, Reliability Design Analysis, Software Safety, System Engineering Fundamentals, System Reliability Design Analysis, Reliability Statistics, and Failure Physics Fundamentals.

The Safety Engineering major aims to meet the needs of modern complex equipment systems design, development, and maintenance. Graduation Requirements
- Duration: Standard duration is 4 years, flexible study period is 3-6 years.
- Graduation Requirements: Completion of 160 credits and passing the graduation thesis defense.
- Degree Awarded: Bachelor of Science degree for Theoretical and Applied Mechanics major, Bachelor of Engineering degree for other majors.
